Syngonium podophyllum is one of the most commonly grown potted houseplant in India. Syngonium podophyllum is a fast-growing vine reaching upto10 meters in height. It has an interesting growth pattern of the leaves where Juvenile plants are with hastate (heart) leaves which then develop into the arrow shape and further on maturity become palmate (similar shape to a hand).

They are available in various colors where the leaves have different shades of pink, white, and green. The flowers are similar to a Peace lily and bloom within a spathe on a spadix.

Propagation- Syngonium podophyllum can be propagated easily through stem cuttings containing roots and leaves and growing them in moist soil

Humidity – Subjecting them to higher humidity conditions can make syngonium grow faster

Light–  Indirect sunlight is best preferred for these plants.They show healthy leave coloration when kept in indirect sunlight.

Soil– Well-drained rich soil, with a light fertilizer, can produce healthy leaves.

Water – They require moist soil all the time. Do not let the soil completely dry as well as do not overwater them.
