Table Mounted Shield

This lower body shield substantially reduces exposure to scatter radiation emanating from the patient's body. It comprises a flexible 0.5mm lead-equivalent curtain, measuring 80cm wide x 70cm high, suspended from a double-jointed pivotal arm that slides onto standard tableside accessory rails. The double joint enables the curtain to move laterally towards the patient or swivel away to form a 60cm or 80cm protective wing. The shield has been specially designed so that it can be attached to either side of the table in an instant, with the pivotal arm always facing the head end. The separate 60cm wide x 25cm high top section, also with 0.5mm lead-equivalent protection, can be removed instantly if required. A similar model (312/DS-005) is fitted with an additional curtain, which increases the width to 100cm
