Tamping Paste

Tamping Paste or Ramming Paste is used in the lining of submerged arc furnace. First it is softened by heating and then applied over refractory lining of submerged arc furnace. Tamping Paste of superior quality is required for long life of the furnace lining. Manufacturing Process : The manufacturing process for Tamping Paste is same as for Carbon Electrode Paste. The only difference, being the fraction sizes of ECA/CPC, is different for Tamping Paste & binder pitch content is lower than Carbon Electrode Paste.
