the kb 741 is easy to use with an onoff switch, which is located at the base of the machine. A red indicator light lets you know when the machine is brewing and the hot plate control will let you set the temperature to an extra-hot setting, if you are brewing a full pot. Another switch is located near the filter holder that lets you pick the amount of coffee to brew—up for a full pot, center for a small pot and down to pause the brewing, if you want to pour a cup.
