Surface Preparation : The maximum performance for  Tectyl  502C can only be achieved when the metal surfaces, to be protected, are clean and dry. However,  Tectyl  502C is effective on lightly rusted surfaces.
Caution : (Combustible) :  Tectyl  502C cures by solvent evaporation. Use with adequate ventilation. Adequate ventilation is required for cure and to ensure against formation of an explosive atmosphere. THE PARTIALLY CURED FILM SHOULD NOT BE EXPOSED TO IGNITION SOURCES SUCH AS FLARES, FLAMES, SPARKS, EXCESSIVE HEAT OR TORCHES.
