PTFE is valuable for many applications mainly due to its unique properties. The most key note property is that it has a very high melting point, at the same time is very stable at low temperatures as well. Since its slick and slippery, it is used as a coating for machine parts that go through wear and tear and are subjected to high temperatures. This material is used for pump interiors, vessel linings, washers, spacers due to its high corrosions resistance to almost any chemical. It can be used as fiber glass, bearing pads.
