Contact SupplierTelemecanique Sensors fork sensor (often called a label fork sensor or slot photoelectric sensor) is a precision photoelectric switch used mainly in industrial automation.
a Telemechanique fork sensor
It’s a U-shaped (fork/slot) sensor where:
One side = laser/infrared emitter
Other side = receiver
The object passes between the fork gap
👉 When something enters the gap, it interrupts the beam → output switches ON/OFF
 Example Model (Industrial Standard)
Â
Key Features
Fork gap detection (very accurate)
Detection range: typically 30 mm – 120 mm
Halltronics
Output: PNP / NPN switching
Fast response time (for high-speed machines)
Protection: IP65 industrial gradeÂ
Halltronics
Compact and easy mounting
 Common Applications
Label detection in packaging machines
Paper / sheet counting
Conveyor systems (object detection)
Bottle / cap detection
Registration mark sensing
👉 Example: In a labeling machine, it detects gap between labels very accurately.
🔧 How it works (simple)
Beam inside fork = normal state
Object enters gap = beam blocked
Sensor output changes → triggers PLC / relay
Wiring (basic idea)
Brown → +24V
Blue → 0V
Black → Output (to PLC or relay)
