TEMPORARY / CONICAL STRAINERS are used as their name suggests, only temporarily, usually during the start-up and flushing of new pipeline systems.The flange of temporary strainers fits between ANSI pipeline flanges and can be provided in carbon steel, 304SS or 316SS materials of construction. We offer several variations, to the left is a "cone" style, also referred to as a "witch hat strainer".Other designs are basket style and plate style, the design is dictated by your application parameters.. 2" temporary basket strainer" through 10" are constructed of 24 gauge 316SS and 12" through 24" are made from 18 gauge 316SS. Other materials, perforations, mesh and ANSI ratings are priced upon request. For mesh lined basket style temporary strainers indicate whether the mesh lining is inside or outside the screen (flow should be pressing the mesh against the screen)
