Myrobalan seeds on fine grinding to Powder is hydrolysable tanning material of vegetable origin with high in acidity and less salt reserve acidity gives mellowing effect and promotes the fixation of condenses type tannins. In blended with catechol tannin, this imparts light color, fullness, plumpness and firmness to leather.

It can be used in EI tanned leather for better yield. It can be used for retannage of Wet blue Cow, Buff, Goat and sheep good fullness, medium tightness and uniform filling. It gives better light fastness.

Better properties on chrome tanned leather with special reference to fullness roundness and grain break.

It is more significant in making sole leather blending with mimosa extract. It is used in pit and drum processing in the manufacture of E.I kips, buff calf and skin. It is also used for topping shrunken grain upper leather. And also recommended for full chrome and retanned upper leather, aline and vegetable tanned leather.
