Too often, it shrivels and dies, resulting in harm to the leader and to the organization the leader serves. The past decade has witnessed scandal after scandal: in business, in non-profits, in religious institutions. Leaders give in to pressures to cook the books, to cut quality to make a quick buck, or to the allure of greed, lust and power. This world of scandals desperately needs leaders with soul.
