Thimbles are designed to extend the longevity wire rope loops by preventing fraying caused by friction at the bearing point. Thimbles must be used in conjunction with either sleeves or wire rope clipsclamps.
Lexco Cable offers thimbles in a variety of materials, such as plated and galvanized thimbles for indoor and mild outdoor work environments, and stainless steel thimbles for corrosive or outdoor environments, including marine applications.
AN100 thimbles are available for cable diameters from 364” to 38”.
AN111 thimbles are available for cable diameters from 116” to 316”.
FF-T-276 Type II thimbles are available for cable diameters 18” to 1-14”.
FF-T-276 Type III thimbles are available for cable diameters from 14” to 2-14”.
