Origin: The historical studies indicate India as native to Thymus vulgaris /Thymus zygis. 
Form: The Thyme Red oil is light to medium consistency oil.

Scent: The Thyme Red oil whiffs a fresh, herbaceous and medicinal aroma. 
Shade and Appearance: The Thyme Red oil is Reddish-Brown or Orange to look at. 
Chemical constituents: Camphene, α&β-Pinenes, α-Thujone, ρ-Cymene, α-Terpinene, Linalool, Borneol, β-Caryophyllene, Thymol and Carvacrol ‘line up’ as chief constituents of the Thyme Red oil. 
Extraction method: The Thyme Red oil is extracted from the fresh or partly dried flowering tops and leaves of the plant by hot-water distillation. 
Blends well with: The Bergamot, Grapefruit, Lemon, Lavender, Rosemary and Pine oils blend well with Thyme Red oil.
