Tiger Nuts, Color : Black, Brown, Yellow

Tiger Nuts Cyperus esculentus is a crop of the sedge family widespread across much of the world.  It is found in most of the Eastern Hemisphere, including Southern Europe, Africa and Madagascar,  as well as the Middle East and the Indian subcontinent.  Tiger nuts, also known as chufa, yellow nutsedge or earth almonds, are not actually nuts, but rather edible tubers.  They're the size of a chickpea but wrinkly with a chewy texture and sweet nutty flavor similar to coconut.
