Timber Bolts

Timber bolts, also known as mushroom head bolts or dome head bolts, can be used in both marine and wood applications. The underside of the oversized, rounded bolt head has nubs or fins which prevent the bolt from turning in the timber (usually between two and four nubs). The oversized head of the timber bolt eliminates the need for a washer on the bolt head end. Timber bolt diameter is measured on the outside of the threads. Timber Bolts have been designed to protect timber structures from the elements. Rings under the head spread 1/4" apart to block water from entering the bolt hole. The large head replaces the need for a Flat Washer and the low profile dome head makes for a safer environment.
