The air flow enters one or more vertical faces of the cooling tower to meet the filled material. Water flows ( Perpendicular to the air ) through the fill by gravity . The air is continuously revolved around the fill and finally, a fan forces the cooled air into the Atmosphere. These allow smaller pumps or maintenance while in use too.
