SIFL continued with landmark development, during the last quarter also. The company has been recommended for AS9100 certification . The remarkable products developed includes seven items for Arjun Mark-II ,main battle tank being developed by CVRDE for INDIAN ARMY. This includes ,Integral axle arms which are indigenized for the first time in the country and are of very complex in design
Another technological feat which was successfully completed is the developement of stainless steel valve body (S410) for BHEL, Trichy. This is the heaviest forging done by SIFL so far and weighs 850KG/piece.
The company has became a partner in the prestigious Brahmos missile development program by obtaining an order from M/s Brahmos Aerospace Ltd, Hyderabad . This involves indigenization of forgings in Titanium, Aluminium and Stainless Steel Alloys.
The company has to look beyond 2018 and set its sights higher,to realize its vision of becoming “ A globally well known enterprise making significant contribution to the wealth and welfare of the Nation ” with its mission of achieving Rs 100 Crore in 2017-2018, Rs 300 Crore by 2018 and Rs 500 Crore by the year 2020.
