Accumulated fecal matter, especially in layers is a rich breeding ground for flies, maggots, insects and also various pathogenic bacterial species. It becomes a source for various infections to spread. Fecal matter is found to be one of the main carriers of the deadly killer virus of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (H.P.A.I.)
Moreover, gases like Ammonia emitted from fecal matter can irritate the respiratory systems of the birds causing various respiratory infections like CRD, Fowl Cholera, Coryza etc.
Toxiduce*contains deodorizers with High “Cation Exchange capacity”, wherein charged ions are exchanged between ammonia & the clays thereby neutralizing the gases.
