Transmitter, 4-20 ma lightning and surge protector. Installation at the transmitter (or under the transmitter cover). Miniature in size, 12” X 58” X 114”. Protection rating line to line and each line to ground, 30 KA on 820 µs wave. Three AWG #16 leads, red to plus, black to minus, green to ground. Response less than one nanosecond. Initial clamp voltage 68V peak, dropping to 30V for one to 10,000 amperes surge current. Bipolar operation, either polarity of surge equally clamped.
