• Used in purification of rare earth metals such as Hafnium , Nickel to obtain electronic grade and Uranium , Zirconium ,Thorium and Platinum for nuclear grade.
• Used as a plasticizer in the production of plastic products and vinyl resins.
• Used as a flame retardant in airjet hydraulic fluids, silicon based brake fluids
• Used as a defoaming agent, fracturing gas wells , cementing oil mud wells
• Used in manufacture of construction chemicals for concrete as a defoamer
