    TEA offers wide range of applications mainly in personal care products, Textile finishing, Detergents, as an intermediate in rubber, agricultural, photographic chemicals, concreat additives & adhesives. It is also used as a component for cement grinding aid & during the manufacturing process of rigid & flexible urethane foams as a catalyst to promote stability.
     
    As TEA exhibit both the properties of Amine & Alcohol it shows unique capability for reactions common for both the groups. As amine TEA is slightly alkaline & reacts with acid to form soaps or salts. As an alcohol it is hygroscopic & can be esterified.
