Sodium Picosulphate : Sodium picosulfate is a contact laxative used as a treatment for constipation or to prepare the large bowel before colonoscopy or surgery.
Liquid Paraffin : Liquid paraffin is considered to have a limited usefulness as an occasional laxative, but is unsuitable for regular use as it can seep from the anus and cause irritation; it can interfere with the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins; it can be absorbed into the intestinal wall and may cause foreign-body granulamatous reactions; and if it enters the lungs it can cause lipoid pneumonia.
Milk of Magnesia : Magnesium hydroxide is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula of hydrated Mg(OH)2. As a suspension in water, it is often called milk of magnesia because of its milk-like appearance. The solid mineral form of magnesium hydroxide is known as brucite.
Magnesium hydroxide is a common component of antacids and laxatives; it interferes with the absorption of folic acid and iron.Magnesium hydroxide has a low solubility in water.
