Tulsi Drops

Improva tulsi-curcumin drops is made using tulsi essential oil and curcumin enriched haldi extract. it is further enriched with ginger extract and black pepper extracts. turmeric is well known through its active ingredient curcumin. we have used turmeric extract that is enriched with curcumin. purified curcumin(actually actually a mixture of three related molecules, curcumin i, ii and iii) is very poorly absorbed by the body and large doses of this costly molecule are needed to achieve the desired effects. in improva tulsi-curcumin drops, the curcumin is assisted by other haldi constituents and also the pepper. the piperine from pepper is a known bioenhancer, molecules that increase absorption of active compounds by the body.
Components of improva tulsi-curcumin drops are known from literature to work as following:

• Anti-infective: tulsi is known to inhibit several viruses in lab based studies such as cold and flue viruses and is also shown to stimulate immunity.
• Fibrosis: oral sub-mucous fibrosis (osmf) is progressive hardening of oral cavity found among areca nut (supari) consuming population. it progressively prevents mouth opening and significantly increases risk of oral cancer. in a study done on 41 patients of osmf using turmeric and tulsi powders (we have used extracts) triturated in glycerin, there was a significant improvement in mouth opening and a significant reduction in burning sensation
• Anti-inflammatory:  turmeric, mainly through curcumin, and tulsi are known to be anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory.
• As topical antifungal: tulsi leaves extract has shown to inhibit clinical isolates (isolated from patient skins) of various dermatophytic fungi (those that cause skin infection) belonging to species of the genera trychophyton, microsporum and epidermophyton. some well-known examples are called tinea (ringworm) infections e.g. tinea pedis (athlete’s foot), tine cruris (jock itch), etc. tulsi essential oil has also shown promising anti-fungal activity against candida albicans and c. tropicalis, two most common causative agents of candidiasis. candidiasis is a fungal infection of mouth, vagina and frequently affects people with aids and those undergoing chemotherapy for cancer. improva tulsi-curcumin drops may act as supportive in the management of skin infections.
