The instrument is mainly used on machine tools for checking true running on iron plates, surface plates as well as for general checking operations. The base can also be used as a Magnetic - V - Block to hold arbor checking tapers and parallelism.
Salient Features :
Can be used as a Magnetic Stand as well as a Magnetic V-Block. Proper clamping can be done by use of large knobs. Dial clamping dia is 5/16" or 8 mm. A small setting screw is provided for fine adjustment.
A powerful magnet is in the base. On/Off switch is provided on the magnetic base. The base has four adhesion faces and V - groove for mounting arbors ranging 20 dia to 150 dia.
