Contact SupplierThese are Urad Daal ki Vadi with Saunf/Fennel Seeds.
There are no added preservatives or other stabilising agents. Just plain Daal batter with spices ground with it.
The other ingredients added are sea/sendha salt and about 2% mustard oil by weight. Mustard oil is used as a lubricant and a good branded oil is used irrespective of price.
The Vadi though is dried in the Sun, to avoid dust etc., I dry them indoors with Air-conditioning, dehydrators and Air-purifiers.
The shelf life is 3 months.
Everything is done by hand with normal mixer grinder and hand beaters.
Hygiene is maintained and is a priority.
