Valerian Root oil has a strong aroma that is typical for root oils. It has a spicy, musky, aroma that is earthy. Some call it “stinky feet” or “poo” oil. Valerian Root has an acquired scent, and when using in blends only one drop is necessary.
Origin
The Valerian plants are grown in many countries of Europe and in some part of Asia as well. A perennial herb originating from Europe, valerian is a flowering plant that typically grows to around four feet tall and blooms during early summer.The Valerian plant is cultivated in a fertile soil. Valerian root is collected in the fall. The roots are mop like and fibrous.

Our product is extracted by steam distillation of the dried roots.

Uses
Valerian Root oil is a very calming oil that can be used to quiet mind chatter, inspire inner calm, and give a sense of grounding to the inner self. It can be used before bedtime to promote relaxation before sleep. It is best used in a blend due to its strong aroma and only a little is needed to utilize its therapeutic properties.
