Vampire Face Lift

Injecting acids, fats or toxins into the body to remove wrinkles is a thing of past now. A new kind of cosmetic procedure called ‘Selphyl’ is available now and the main ingredient in this wrinkleremoving procedure is thepatient's own blood.
Selphyl is a nonsurgical procedure and calling it a facelift will not be accurate because facelift is the surgical repositioning of facial tissues that have become loose over time.However, this technology got the name ‘Vampire FaceLift’ as it involves injecting a mixture of blood products into the wrinkled skin to smooth out wrinkles just like a FaceLift.
In the ‘Vampire Face Lift’ procedure, a small amount of patient’s blood is taken out and processed to create a gel-like substance ‘platelet-rich-plasma’ (PRP) after spinning the blood sample in a centrifuge to separate platelets, and then re-injected into the affected areas to create a more youthful look by erasing wrinkles.
This non-surgical process is considered a better, relatively painless, and affordable alternative to BOTOX and other injections in cosmetic surgeries. Plus, no allergy testing is required as the substance injected is the person’s own blood.
