Nmk Vasambu Kal

This takes a special portion in Tamil Tradition. This was called as “Vasambu kal”. This stone belongs to the granite family with a coarse flat on top for better friction.   Vasambu ( Calamus flag ), Jathikaai ( Nutmeg ), Masikaai ( Bluejack) kinds of products are rubbed on it and the juices are collected in Paladai ( to mix with mother’s milk for feeding to the kid, which provides better health to the kids.  Its also used by the elders to rub Sandalwood to apply in the forehead.
