The KDS-131 VR Sensor measures wind speed and direction in automatic weather station applications by using a 3-cup anemometer rotor coupled to a Hall Effect sensor. As optical and mechanical parts are not used, the device has greater reliability and sensitivity. The Hall Effect encoder provides greater frequency resolution in the reading, which can be used to reduce the sampling time. The sensor is used for weather & air quality studies, wind power generation and for agro-meteorological & industrial applications.
