For vitrified diamond grinding wheel, we generally use grit 120-150 mesh size for rough processing. It has higher metal cutting rate, and still can get higher surface finish. Vitrified bond agent is more firm to stick to diamond than the resin bond agent. There is a larger stomata between vitrified bond agent and abrasive grains. For the same cutting allowance, the grinding efficiency of vitrified diamond grinding wheel is 2 time than that of resin diamond grinding wheel , and it is 2-3 times of the service life of resin diamond grinding wheel .
