Vulcan is designed to take the drudgery and monotonous repetition required in digestion of a batch of samples, and their subsequent dilutions and transfers into autosampler racks. Precise and repetitive steps such as weighing samples, pouring precise amounts of reagents, monitoring temperatures, and timing various events, have been automated for ease of operation. This has resulted in reduced handling of concentrated acids and other reagents in the presence of hot surfaces, thus ensuring operator safety, better efficiency and fewer errors.
