Wafshield IB645 Protective Coatings & Sealers

WAFSHIELD.IB645 is a fluid applied, flexible protective coating formulated with elastomeric resin which forms a membrane that expands and contracts. WAFSHIELD.IB645 specifically formulated and designed to apply over all types of substrates from concrete, precast concrete, various type of concrete blocks, cement board, stones, metal, plastering and wood as a waterproofing, air, moisture,fire barrier and UV resistant protection. It will not crack, crumble, or peel despite exposure to severe weather or total joint movement and retains its elasticity at very low temperatures and in extreme of heat, protecting from water and aggressive atmospheric chemicals.

Application Field
Facades, Roof, Curtain walls, Terrace to act as a complete barrier against air, water, vapor, fire and UV. Provides Moisture protection behind wall claddings of ACP, brick, Insulation systems, various other external façade finishing. Typical application projects with maximum fire resistance requirements. Envelope for high rise and rise residential, commercial and institutional towers, buildings and complexes.
Installation

• Surface Preparation - Surfaces to be coated must be clean, dry and free of any oil, grease or dirt. Patch and repair cracks, blisters and other problem areas using suitable materials recommended by OBS technical support. Any existing coating must be checked for good adhesion. The loose existing coatings should be removed well. Clean by wire brush and use pressured air to blow out all the dust.
• Application - Tools or equipments to be used for the application -Roller (Short nap roller),Brush (Good quality synthetic bristle brush),Spray (Airless Sprayer, 1gpm, 3,000 psi, .027 or .031 tip)
• Mixing - Mix with a paddle and drill at low speed for 3 minutes for optimum consistency.
• Coating Application - All roof-preparation materials must be allowed to dry prior to application of the WAFSHIELD .IB645 coating. Immediately prior to application of the coating, all dust, dirt and other contaminants should be blown off the roof surfaces using compressed air. Apply the elastomeric coating by brush, roller or airless spray, using a multi pass technique to ensure even coating application to all sides of the substrate. Make a conscious effort to apply coating into crimped or pre-sealed vertical (side-lap) seams that have not been detailed. According to project specification and requirements , apply the second coat of WAFSHIELD . IB645 using a cross hatch technique.

Storage
Store materials between 10°C-50°C with careful handling to prevent damage to products. If conditions exceed these ranges, special consideration in storage must be taken. Do not store at high temperatures in direct sunlight. Shelf life under normal conditions in closed container will be 24 months.

Health and Safety
Keep out of reach of children. Ensure to maintain good ventilation during application and drying process. In case of skin contact, wash with soap and water or a recognized skin cleaner. Avoid contact with eyes. In case of contact with eyes rinse immediately with running water and seek medical advice. If product is ingested drink plenty of water or milk.
