Water Distillation

This water distillation unit is designed to give pyrogen free distilled water. This is needed practically in every laboratory, hospitals, research institution, industries, colleges, pathological lab and other many more labs where the distilled water is needed.
Construction :
The complete body is fabricated out of S.S. 304 grade material. A baffle is provided to avoid splashing of row water particles into condenser pipe. A cock is provided at water inlet to control the water flow inside the unit. The constant level attachment maintains water level inside boiling chamber and excessive water is thrown away. A lid is automatically sealed by water forming in a recess provided at the top of the boiling chamber. The flange of the lid rests in this ring. The cold water which enters in the coolant pipe condenses the steam into distilled water and preheated water gets into the boiling chamber. This reduces the electric consumption. The condenser pipe is easily removable for cleaning in condenser opening type.
Heaters :
The water still is fitted with self ejection type heating element which disconnects electric supply connector if still runs without water. Even though care should be taken not to run the still without sufficient water flow as the protective arrangement cannot be expected to work for several operations. The heating elements are easilt replaceable.
The stated output of the still is approximate as it depends on supply voltage fluctuations.
