Goodcrete dps penetrates below the surface and chemically reacts with the alkali substance (calcium hydroxide ca(oh) 2) and lime found in the concrete. This reaction can be divided into two stages: first, within the capillaries of the concrete, it will create a silica gel membrane and after the water of the silica gel membrane evaporates, the silica gel membrane will solidify into a crystalline structure. Second, through the reaction the solidifying crystal will get into the capillaries and small cracks of concrete, permanently sealing to improve its compactness yet allowing the concrete to breathe. Over a period of time the silica gel membrane hydrates and solidifies into a crystalline structure, increasing moisture vapor emissions both on the positive or negative side. Using goodcrete dps, the concrete can still breathe well.
