More Power, Longer Engine Life

GE’s Waukesha 275GL+ represents the most advanced generation of high-horsepower engines in the gas compression segment. A combination of robust construction and innovative technology, the 275GL+ lean-burn engine delivers excellence in fuel flexibility, efficiency, power output and emissions for unmatched performance. For maximum uptime and profitability, you can depend on the 275GL+ to get the job done year after year.

Designed to demanding specifications of the gas compression industry, GE’s Waukesha 275GL+ Enginator is the right choice for rugged oilfield power generation and associated gas applications.

Benefits
  • Fuel flexibility
  • The 275GL+ is an easy to use package.
  • More power in more unconventional gas applications
Features
  • The 275GL+ delivers excellent power output and efficiency that directly improve the bottom line.
  • The 16-cylinder model is rated 5000 bhp (3728 kWb), with the 12-cylinder version rated 3750 bhp (2800 kWb).
  • The 275GL+ and its fuel-efficiency advantage provide low unburned methane—a greenhouse gas that has 25 times the effect of CO2—minimising its carbon footprint and effect on the environment.
  • The Engine System Manager (ESM) dramatically reduces on-site setup time and simplifies engine operation.
  • Closed loop NOx based air-fuel ratio control

The ecomagination1-qualified 275GL+ lean burn engine has more power in unconventional gas applications – efficiency with a power output  of 1,887 kW – 3,605 kW and emissions performance. Its Engine System Manager* (ESM) control sharply reduces onsite setup time and requirements. That saves days on commissioning and adds years to engine life. The 275GL+ makes no compromise between power and emissions control, or between fuel efficiency and fuel flexibility.

Clarke Energy provides added value to the customer by acting as single point of contact from initial sale, engineering, project management, installation through to commissioning and long-term maintenance of your generation assets. Clarke Energy has significant experience in a wide range of different gaseous fuel applications including natural gas, biogas, landfill, furnace and coal gases.
Gas based power generation projects are present in a variety of different applications. Natural gas systems focus on high efficiency generation from natural gas, which has the lowest carbon emissions of all fossil fuels. Biological gases are renewable fuels and originate from the degradation of organic matter by microorganisms and include biogas, sewage gas and landfill gas. Gases associated with coal deposits provide the opportunity for the generation of power whilst avoiding carbon emissions. Finally special gas applications are some of the most challenging gaseous fuels including syngas from biomass and waste and gases originating as a by-product from metal furnaces.

Generating projects are typically for continuous base load power generation where the generator is required to run continuously throughout the year. Alternatively gas engines can be utilised to provide peak lopping capability where a rapid response is required to cope with fluctuations in power grid requirements. GE's Jenbacher gas engine can be utilised in a straight electricity generation, combined heat and power (CHP)/cogeneration , combined cooling, heat and power (CCHP) / trigeneration or combined heat, power, cooling and CO2 recovery / quadgeneration configuration.
Individual gas engines are currently available from 249 - 9,400 kW electrical output. Multi-engine power plants consist of many individual engines and can be up to ~100MW in electrical output. Engines can be installed directly into a building, or alternatively for the fastest installation can be provided as modular plug and play containerised generating sets. In most cases we design and perform turnkey installations and commit to long-term maintenance contracts guaranteeing availability. All with the purpose designed, high efficiency, clean burning reciprocating gas engine.
