Wcmt Block (Wide Coverage Multiple Thickness)

The UCOMAX WCMT Block (Wide Coverage Multiple Thickness) is a custom-engineered calibration standard designed to simplify ultrasonic testing for ASME piping inspections on large-diameter pipes over 20 inches.

This special block combines six flat calibration sections in a single practical design, covering pipe wall thicknesses from 0.200″ to 2.0″, all within ASME Section V, Article 4 tolerances.

Each WCMT Block is individually machined to order, ensuring it matches your exact inspection needs. The block uses side-drilled hole (SDH) reflectors, which provide consistent, repeatable reference signals across various angles — ideal for both piping and non-piping applications (T-434.2.1).

Engraved section markings make it easy to identify the thickness range covered by each segment. This versatile, multi-use design reduces the need for multiple separate blocks, saving time and effort in the field.
