Weigh In Motion System

A Weigh in Motion (WIM) system is designed to be an economical and convenient solution for measuring the weight of moving trucks. It consists of two sub frames with four load cells embedded in the scale. It does not require any large foundation and can be installed in a small compacted pit ensuring speedy installation at a very low cost. Whenever the vehicle passes over the platform, the individual axle weight, the number of axles and the total weight of the vehicle is detected and recorded. The system can also be used to detect the number of vehicles and the type of vehicle passing on the platform. Cameras attached with the system helps in capturing the images of the vehicle passing over the platform. These images can be used to know the vehicle number and the type of vehicle.
