WELDING COLUMN AND BOOM BY MEMCO

Column & Boom manipulators are designed to work independently or in conjunction with a rotator or a positioner, to help place the Automatic Welding Head in the correct position over the work-piece and aid downhand welding.
Base:
The base frame is of heavy robust construction for maximum rigidity.
The base design permits free-standing operation of the machine even when the boom is fully elevated and extended.
The base can be fixed and stationery or trolley mounted and motorised to travel on a track at constant or variable speeds.
Column:
It consists of a an extremely rigid box section and is provided with machined slide-ways for saddle elevation.

Counterweight is provided inside the column to counter balance the weight of the boom, saddle plate and welding head.
General Features :
Variable speed horizontal boom travel through A.C. VFD Drive / D.C. Thyristorised Control.
Fixed speed A.C. motorised drive for vertical travel of the boom.
Horizontal speed of boom travel is infinitely variable between 100 to 1,500 mm per minute.
Limit switch as well as mechanical stopper provided in column and boom end to prevent overriding.
Anti-fall mechanism provided on saddle plate in case of chain failure.
