Wire EDM

Wire EDM, which is also referred to as wire eroding that relies on an electric discharge spark where the tool electrode is, quite simply, a wire. This wire is used in the creation of shapes from or the precise machining of hardened steel. The heat generated by Wire EDM can quickly erode the wire, which is why it is wound between two spools that keep the cutting part of the wire in constant motion.
