As per IS 1293 - 1988 clause - 21. The socket outlet are mounted in normal used & the pulling force is applied in the direction similar to the normal used. The socket outlet is held in a vertical plane & the pulling on the projecting part of it downmost . The applicable force should be applied as per table given below to have necessary withdraw the plug from the socket outlet.
