Wooden Dapping Block

Block is 2 inch x 2 inch x 2 inch. Holes range from about 1 1/8 inch to about 1 3/4 inch. Smaller dapping punch is 1/2 inch flat on one end and 5/8 inch domed on the other end. Larger dapping punch is 13/16 inch domed on one end and 3/4 inch domed on the other end Dapping blocks are used to form soft metal into a dome shape Use any bendable metal: coins, sheet metals, bottle caps, and more Put item into the block indent and tap dapping punch with a hammer until desired shape is achieved It may be helpful to drill holes, cut or engrave before dapping.
