Worm shaft Generally Worm Shafts are made from EN 353, Case Carburised, Hardened and Tempered upto 55-60 HRC. They are then accurately ground. Tooth Flank are ground on Worm Profile Grinder. Also offered in other metals with or without hardening like in Mild Steel, EN8, EN 19, EN 24, Cast Iron or as specified. standard and custom made as per Specifications, Drawing or Sample. Worm shafts like for Worm Gear Boxes (most of the makes) of C.D. 50, 60, 75, 85, 100 mm, Ratio 30:1 or 40:1 are usually available Ex-Stock (Subject to conformation). For Automobiles and Industrial uses Worm Shaft and Worm Wheel Pairs are suitable for power transmission in right angle Reverse engineering of Gear sets and Gear Boxes.
