XLPE Cables

XLPE (cross linked polyethylene) insulated cables are generally made as per Indian Standard IS 7098 Part 1 and can also be made as per requirement of other standard like BS 5467 and IEC- 60502, DIN, etc, These cables are made on our most sophisticated machines, with all required testing and inspection from raw material stage to final cable stage, The advantage of XLPE insulated cables in comparison to those of PVC insulated cables are as under.
Higher current rating, higher short circuit rating (1.2 times of PVC), high insulation resistance-1000 times of PVC, high resistance to moisture, better resistance to surge current, low dielectric loss, better resistance to chemicals & corrossion, long service life, high operating temperature & short-circuit temperature 250 C.
