Wedge Type The zinc plated concrete wedge anchor is an expansion type anchor used to fasten/anchor a fixture into solid concrete. The wedge anchor itself is made from zinc plated carbon steel. Zinc plated wedge anchors offer some corrosion resistance but are generally used for interior applications only. They are not accepted for use in ACQ treated lumber. Once installed, concrete wedge anchors cannot be removed without causing damage to the surrounding concrete.
