Application
Zinc ribbon anodes are designed to provide a
simple, cost effective method for applying sacrificial
anode cathodic protection in confined or high
resistivity locations such as carrier pipes within
sleeves and closely spaced pipelines. Zinc ribbon
anodes may also be used to mitigate induced AC
voltages and currents from pipelines and, in the form
of ground mats, to provide personal protection.
Availability
Zinc ribbon anodes are produced in the shape of
diamond lattice, in accordance with ASTM-B-418
Standard Type I and Type II alloy.
Type I is generally used in seawater or brackish water systems and Type II is generally used in
underground and fresh water systems or environments.
