Our Products
Progressive Engineers offers customers with Mercotac Rotating Connectors Model 110. A slip ring is an electrical connector designed to carry current or signals between a stationary wire and a rotating device. Typically, it is comprised of a stationary graphite or metal contact (brush) which rubs on the outside diameter of a rotating metal ring. As the metal ring turns, the electrical current or signal is conducted through the stationary brush to the metal ring making the connection.
Additional ring/brush assemblies are stacked along the rotating axis if more than one electrical circuit is needed. This simple design has been used for decades as a rudimentary method of passing current into a rotating device.
Some other names used for slipring are collector ring, rotary electrical contact and electrical slip ring. Some people also use the term commutator, however commutators are somewhat different and are specialized for use on DC motors and generators.

Acetone is a pure solvent cleaner with an endless variety of applications. It is very aggressive, dries rapidly, and leaves no residue. It is exempt from VOC regulations in most jurisdictions. It is highly flammable, so appropriate precautions should be taken. As a cleaner or stripper it aggressively dissolves heavy greases and stubborn residues, quickly removes coatings, and eventually destroys most encapsulating and potting compounds. It may be used as a thinner for fast-dry coatings, or as a multi-purpose solvent cleaner. In 3D printing it helps smooth the surface of objects printed in ABS filament.

406B Super Wash Electronics Cleaner is a hydrocarbon-based, very fast drying, zero-residue cleaner/degreaser perfect for quick PC board cleaning. When used as a secondary rinse, it accelerates the drying time of boards treated with slower-drying cleaners. Great for dissolving many types of flux. Cleans and degreases printed circuit boards, machinery, electrical and electronic devices.
This is 99.9% ACS reagent grade isopropyl alcohol aerosol spray for cleaning electronics. Good solvency, low surface tension, and aerosol pressure make it an effective flux remover and general electronics cleaner. It effectively cleans ionic, polar and non-polar residues. It is safe on most painted surfaces, plastics, and elastomers. It leaves no residue, evaporates quickly relative to water, and does not cause corrosion. It is anhydrous, hydroscopic, and fully miscible with water. It is low toxicity compared to alternative solvents and is similarly relatively environmentally benign, being ozone safe with excellent “green solvent” scores.
This product is packaged as an aerosol, however, it is also offered as a liquid and as a presaturated wipe. Additionally, we offer liquid 70% IPA and 70% IPA presaturated wipes.
Isopropyl Alcohol is effective at removing oils, light greases, ink, grime, oxides, solder paste residues, adhesives residues, and flux residues. It is recommended for cleaning any of the following:
Cleaning with IPA is often more effective when used in conjunction with the right brush, swab, or dry-wipe.
847 is a carbon-filled, silicone-free conductive paste. It improves electrical connections between non-moving parts in the same way as a thermal paste improves thermal connections. It will not separate, bleed or migrate. This electrically conductive paste reduces contact resistance, repels moisture, inhibits corrosion, and prevents static buildup. It is thixotropic, and can be used as a gap filler to ensure grounded connections or revitalize corroded sockets.
Use 847 when you need a conductive carbon paste that combines great electrical contact with environmental protection. It is excellent for use on ground connections, battery terminals, bus bars, single pole jacks, slide connectors, HVAC connections, speaker posts, and fluorescent light pins.
For a silicone-based electrically conductive grease, try our 846 or 8463.
We also offer thermally conductive greases, dielectric greases, and lubricating greases.

Progressive Engineers has a wide range of products that includes Merotac Rotating Connectors model 630. These are used by customers for various needs and purposes in different Industries.
A slip ring passes electrical signals and power across a rotating interface using sliding electrical contacts. These contacts are typically a rotating ring and a stationary brush, or wiper, that slides along the ring surface during rotation.
Usage - A slip ring is a method to make an electrical connection from a stationary object to a rotating assembly. These are used in many industrial automation applications and for equipment like tower and jib cranes, as well as cable and hose winders, where a portion can spin freely, while the base is fixed. Progressive Engineers offers customers with quality assured Mercotac Rotating Connectors Model 830.
Mercotac Rotating Electrical Connectors operate on a superior principle to Slip Rings. They offer an extremely low-resistance electrical connection because the conduction path is a liquid metal which is molecularly bonded to the contacts. The Mercotac connection is constant and unchanged for the life of the connector.
Mercotac Rotating Electrical Connectors use a unique design principle unlike the sliding, brush contact of a slip ring. The connection is made through a pool of liquid metal molecularly bonded to the contact, which provides a low-resistance, stable connection. During rotation the fluid maintains the electrical connection between the contacts without any wear and tear.
The following are among the many reasons why Mercotac connectors are superior to slip rings:
Unlike a slip ring, Mercotac connectors produce near zero electrical noise due to their unique design.
Resistance through the rotating contact is less than one milliohm, which is much lower than the resistance of a slip ring.

Are you looking for Mercotac Rotating Connectors Model 430? You are in the right place. Progressive Engineers has got the right product for your needs.
They have low internal resistance and usually pin connections, but they can also be produced with optional wires if desired. Since they provide transmission through mercury, their working principles are different from slip rings with other transmission technologies. In other words, Mercotac Model 430 or similar products can work for a long time. This will reduce your costs.
During rotation, the liquid protects the electrical connection between the contacts without any wear and tear. Thus, they are long-lived enough to make an average of 2 billion revolutions. The quality of the transmission signal always remains the same at a high level. They provide a high level of transmission of even very sensitive signals at high rotation speeds.
These types of slip rings use mercury metal as the conductive medium. During the spinning process, the mercury creates a connection between the stationary part and the rotating structure.
This provides a high quality transmission connection with low sag resistance and less noise. Mercotac Model 430 is beautiful because it is a small and powerful product. The slip ring meets the standards of the IP51 protection class.
