A nitrogen plant generally works by separating molecules of nitrogen from the molecules of oxygen within compressed air. This can be processed with the help of a membrane nitrogen generator or a pressure swing adsorption (PSA) nitrogen generator linked to a compressor. To achieve nitrogen with a purity level of 90-99%, a membrane nitrogen generator is required and for achieving nitrogen with a high purity level of 99.999%, a PSA nitrogen generator is required.
