Garden Hoe is a garden tool having a blade with many small prongs, which is perpendicularly attached with a shaft. Hoe is a very beneficial tool that is basically used for day to day gardening works like weeding and cultivation. Hoes come in various sizes and designs to suit individual and specific requirements. The size of their blade generally ranges from 2.5inch to 8 inch.
A good quality garden hoe should have a socket construction in which a one-piece blade, shank and socket are driven onto the handle, providing greater strength. The forged shaft should be set at right angle to facilitate the user to stand upright while using it. Head should be made of high carbon steel, which provides a lasting sharpness.
Hoes are perfect tools for weeding rocking hills. This tool is basically beneficial for hacking off the annual weeds (as perennial weeds are to be dug out). Garden hoes are also used for breaking the rocks that are made by accumulation of soil. A garden pruner is a tool used to cut off or remove dead or living parts or branches of the plant. A pruner therefore helps to improve shape or growth of a plant. But, if care is not taken, a pruner may also put harmful effect on the plant's health. Thus, in case any diseased part of a plant is to be removed through a pruner, the blades of the pruner should be disinfected before using them on some other healthy plant.
A pruner is fashioned with narrow, pointed cutting blades. It has hardened bolt and nut which ensures that both the cutting blades are well-adjusted. Rubber cushion and shock absorbers provides smooth, comfortable working and soft closing.
There are basically two primary types of pruners available at present, viz., pruner with bypass blades and pruner with anvil blades. Both these pruners serve almost the same purpose, but differ in functioning. In the former one (i.e., bypass blade pruner), the blades move across each other to make a sharp and clean cut; while in the case of the latter (i.e., anvil blade pruner) a thin sharp blade is pressed onto a flat and static blade.

Shovel is available in various styles including long handled round point, long handled square point, D handled round point, and D handled square point.
Long handled round point : This type of shovel has blade and front strap as a single unit. They are made of chrome nickel alloy steel or carbon steel.
Long handled square point : This kind of blade is similar to long handled, round point types, in construction and quality but has less cutting power than round point. It is useful in scooping and removing materials.
"D" handled round point : These blades are recommended for ordinary garden digging jobs.
"D" handled square point : This type of shovel is used for removal of loose soil and handling light materials such as sand. This type of shovel is not useful for heavy digging.
A garden spade is a garden tool that is primarily used for digging, planting, and cultivating. This sturdy tool has a thick handle and a heavy, flat, and square point blade that can be pressed into the ground with the foot. Few garden spades have a rolled shoulder on the top of the blade, which makes it easier for the user to apply foot pressure in unusually hard or heavy soil.
The type of spade to be selected entirely depends upon the area of land where you want to use it. For instance, for a ground with too many rocks and stones present underneath, a long narrow spade is ideal; while for a garden bed having comparatively less stones, a wide and short spade is perfect.
An ideal garden spade should possess a forged blade, which should be fixed with the handle at a slight angle, rather than at ninety degrees. Also, its handle should provide perfect and convenient grip, even when used for long hours. Spades made of galvanized steel are preferable, if they are to be used in moist conditions. Transplanting spades are considered good, especially for working in gardens where the plants are grown at short gaps. This is so because working with a transplanting spade in such gardens minimizes the accidental harm to the nearby plants.
