Oxygen Permeability Index Meter
- The instrument is developed as originally described as Alexander, Ballim & Machechnnie ( Dept of Civil Engineering, University of Cape Town & University of Witwatersand)
- The test is suitable for the evaluation of materials and mix proportion for design purpose and for research and development .
Instrument Contains
- Permeability cell of S.S.304 having capacity Volume 5 litre ± 5% --- 4 Nos
- Compressible Rubber collar of silicon rubber to have a tight fit around the specimen to eliminate any leakage of oxygen except through the pores of the specimen.
- Rigid sleeve to house rubber collar – 4 nos
- Pressure Transducers, with an accuracy of 0.5 KPa.
- Standard grade 99.8 % oxygen cylinder with regulator capable of regulating pressure to 120 KPa
- Digital Vernier caliper of reading 0.01mm
- Direct read out system such that pressure reading recorded in memory card at 15 min interval upto 6hrs.
- Desiccator to hold 8 samples, containing silicagel as desiccant.
