The primary function of the device is to take in the air from the environment, re-condition it, and supply fresh air throughout the building.
The air handling unit is basically a large metal box (consisting of a heating element, a cooling element, and a blower/fan) linked to the ductwork ventilation system that channels conditioned air throughout a building.
