What is a Vacuum Ceramic Filter?

A Vacuum Ceramic Filter is an advanced solid–liquid separation equipment used for continuous dewatering of slurry. It uses microporous ceramic filter discs to achieve very low moisture content, high filtration efficiency, and reduced energy consumption.

Ceramic disc filters are widely used in mineral processing, mining, metallurgy, chemical industries, power plants, and wastewater treatment plants.

How Vacuum Ceramic Filter Work

The Vacuum Ceramic Filter are partially submerged in slurry. Due to capillary action within the ceramic pores, liquid is drawn through the filter media while solids form a cake on the disc surface.

As the disc rotates:

Filtration occurs under vacuum
Cake is dried using compressed air
Solids are discharged by scraper
Filter surface is regenerated automatically
This process ensures continuous operation with high throughput.
